The Genova Company is a family office that focuses on real estate and alternative investments as well as family businesses such as Anderson Subaru in Pensacola, FL. In addition, the Genova Company pursues historic preservation opportunities that put important historic homes on the local historic registry.

  • Phil Anderson

    Phil Anderson is a successful business executive with over 35 years of real estate investment and development experience. Having succeeded in the institutional world, Phil is now focused on his family business, The Genova Company, and its mission to pursue small scale creation of residential communities to deliver attainable, middle-market homes.

    During his institutional real estate career, Phil helped create several successful businesses and led those teams in over $10 billion of transactions involving over 300 properties across the country. Most recently, Phil co-founded and served as Chief Investment Officer of the Seniors Housing specialty group for Bridge Investment Group (“BRDG” on the NYSE). Prior to joining Bridge, Phil helped start and then served as Chief Operating Officer of CNL Retirement Properties in Orlando, Florida. Before moving from Chicago to join CNL, Phil helped start and then served as Senior VP with the Hyatt Hotel Corporation’s affiliated seniors housing developer and operator, Classic Residence by Hyatt.

    Phil earned a B.S. with honors in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).

  • Evan Anderson

    Evan is a former specialty coffee professional and entrepreneur now leveraging that experience for Genova Company’s investments.

    Evan’s coffee career allowed him to work in iconic locations in New Zealand, Montana, and Scotland. He has been a long-time member of the Specialty Coffee Association and is a published co-author of research into how climate is affecting coffee quality.

    Evan was drawn to Bozeman in 2015 after an exhaustive search for communities with a high quality of life, outdoor opportunities, and a unique identity. During this time, he gained a deep appreciation and desire to work on the problem of housing in highly desirable areas.

    After running a business through Covid, Evan decided to shift his focus from hospitality and moved to Edinburgh, Scotland to pursue his MBA. Upon graduating, Evan returned to Orlando, FL and now advises family investments primarily in the auto and real estate sectors.

    Evan earned a Masters in Business Administration with Distinction from Edinburgh University and a Bachelor of Arts, Double Majoring in Economics and Religious Studies from University of Florida.
